SF Department of the Environment - Video Production Internship - Community Outreach

The mission of the City and County of San Francisco Department of the Environment (SF Environment) is to improve, enhance, and preserve the environment, and to promote San Francisco's long-term environmental sustainability. SF Environment includes Recycling, Toxics Reduction, Environmental Justice, Clean Air Transportation, Climate Change, Energy, Green Building, Urban Forest and Public Information programs.
The mission of the outreach team is to support the Department's environmental programs in helping the public, businesses, and city government employees know about and engage with our programs.

The outreach team is looking for a dedicated person to assist with ongoing video projects such as:

Producing, editing and uploading short interview clips to social media platforms.
Maintaining the department's video content library.
Developing new content for current campaigns, initiatives and news to include: interviews, events, motion graphics and B-roll.
Assist with developing new media projects and campaigns.
Participate in public outreach events as needed.

Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Interest in or knowledge of environmental and sustainability principles
Proficiency in Final Cut, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms and MS Office
Ability to work from home as needed

Candidate should have access to editing software at home, some work will be done remotely.
Ability to produce quality content in a timely manner.
Interest in environmental outreach campaigns and behavior change tactics.
Fluency in a second language used commonly in San Francisco.
