Requirements
Ideal Cirque Du Soleil Candidate
• Articulate, cannot be shy and must be able to speak clearly
• Enthusiastic, outgoing personality, energetic, friendly, calm
• Customer service oriented
• Cash handling experience for most positions
• Physically able to stand on their feet and move from one place to another easily
• Ushers, must be able to physically take going up and down stairs
• Handle difficult situations that may arise with unsatisfied customers
• Quick on their feet
• Motivated to work in a team environment
• Some experience with first aid and handling of large crowds preferred
• Ushers will be expected to clean the theatre area after each performance
• Committed and reliable
• Concessions and Merchandising candidates should have previous retail experience
• Concessions/VIP candidates may be required to serve alcohol (in this case, at least 50% of hires need to be minimum age of 21)
• VIP candidates should possess superior presentation skills and have direct customer service experience (e.g. flight attendant, high end retail.) Also important that they become very knowledgeable in regards to TOTEM and CDS’s history.
• Wardrobe candidates must be willing to unpack and clean costumes, etc.

USHER JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for screening and collecting tickets from patrons. Directing and showing patrons to their proper seats. Ushers will work 2-5 days a week dependent upon performance and availability. Arrival times start as early as 2pm on a 2 show day and 6pm on a one show day.
Ushers Primary Responsibilities
• Screening and collecting tickets
• Directing patrons to their assigned seat
• Clean theatre/Big Top area after each performance – outside and inside
• Assist with any emergency situations
• Performing front of house cues as required/directed
Usher Assistant Primary Responsibilities
• Take over Head Usher position during breaks and busy periods
• Assist disabled patrons
• Translating when necessary
• Assist in emergency situations
• Previous customer service experience
• Physically able to stand for long periods of time and move around the site
• Must be physically able to go up and downstairs constantly
• Professionally handle difficult situations that may arise with unsatisfied customers and suggest possible resolutions
• Fluent in English
• Able to communicate in other languages as needed,
• Able to be punctual and reliable
• Able to work in a team environment
• Must be positive, honest, resourceful, polite, courteous and presentable
• Some experience with first aid and handling of large crowds
• Ability to work with minimal direction
Other Duties as Assigned
• Assist in other areas as needed and assigned by House Supervisor, Cirque du Soleil supervisors and/or Adecco On-Site staff.
VIP HOST/HOSTESS
• Control the guest’s tickets
• Greet the guests using the Tapis Rouge protocol of service
• Take special care of « high contribution » guests
• Ensure that the tent is clean, tidy and organized at all times
• Assist the supervisor for any stock control of the « Tapis Rouge » gifts
• Set up and operate private lounges
• Respect the brand and offer an outstanding service and attention to our guests.

• Good communication skills
• Previous experience as a host or hostess

MERCHANDISER JOB DECRIPTION
• Greet the guests and talk about the Cirque du Soleil exclusive merchandising collection
• Ensure pricing is correct; display the stock according to Cirque du Soleil guidelines.
• Ensure the tent is clean and tidy at all time.
• Assist in the delivery of good to the warehouse (usually a truck or a container)
• Use electronic Point of Sales, process sales with cash and credit/debit cards, ensures the register is balancing at all time.
• Respect the brand and offer an outstanding service and attention to our guests.
Personal attributes and knowledge:
• Have experience with an electronic point of sales (POS) before
• Experience in a clothing or art store
• Well presented
• Team player and also attention to details
• Bilingual English and local language
• Able to lift boxes of merchandise (up to 33lbs)

• Greet the guests and sell our FB products from our « snack » menu.
• Cook, especially Pop Corn, hot dogs, …

• Help for the delivery in the warehouse (truck or container), and restock all selling aeras : fridges, shelves,…)
• Clean all machines everyday
• Monitor the sale of alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests

JANITOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform task to ensure general cleanliness over the site area and Big Top. This position is 35-40 hours a week.
Primary Responsibilities
• Cleaning the site, the Big Top and cleaning the site during shows
• Picking up trash
• Making sure trash bins are emptied and clean
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dusting
Qualifications
• Previous janitor experience preferred, but not required
• Must be honest, punctual, and reliable
• Good manners
• Perform task quickly and efficiently
• Must speak English
• Other Duties as Assigned
• Assist in other areas as needed and assigned by other Cirque du Soleil supervisors and/or Adecco On-Site Staff
