Job Description
- Career Services Student Assistants provide customer service to students and serve as receptionist for Career Services Department. They assist with informing students on library and job search resources.
Responsibilities
-
Duties Include:
- Provide administrative assistance to Career Services team
Answer phones and greet students/alumni/faculty/staff/employers
Work with the Student Employment Advisor to assist with job development and data entry for part time jobs and internships for students
Call employers to solicit jobs, invite to job fairs, follow-up & take new job orders
Handle data entry of employers and job orders
Update and maintain website which includes job board, resources and events
Create marketing flyers; maintain bulletin boards and library
Assist with events which may include food prep, guest registration, set-up & clean-up
- 10-15 hours a week for a minimum of 3 days per week, M-F.
SKILLS:
- Overall GPA of 2.0 or better
At least one year of office experience
Comfortable with interacting with employers and students
Courteous and punctual
Customer service oriented
Excellent phone skills essential
MUST HAVE:
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesgin skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Digital Photography skills a plus
