Assistant Swim Coach
Part-time/Non-exempt position. Reports to Aquatics Director. Assist with the Junior Swim Program, a competitive year round swim program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Running individual group practices emphasizing proper technique and conditioning of swimmers ages 8-12 years old. Candidates must be able to instill the concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship into each participant. Also, attend USA Swimming meets, assist in preparing swimmers for before and during competitions, be a positive influence to all swimmers and help instill an early love for the sport. Work closely with the Aquatics Director to provide feedback and develop strategies that will promote the success of the swimmers. Communicate with parents as needed.
Minimum qualifications: 2+ years of coaching experience. USA Swimming Coach member with minimum current education and safety requirements including CPR, First Aid, AED and Safety Training for Coaches or Life Guard Certification; level 1 ASCA certification. Ability to motivate athletes in a positive manner. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills; Intermediate Microsoft Office and Outlook necessary. Available to work weekdays 3pm – 7pm and some weekends. Hy-Tek Meet Manager and basic Water Polo knowledge a plus.
Lifeguard
Part-time/non-exempt position. Reports to the Aquatics Director. Must be available to work weekdays
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, as well as weekends and be flexible to work other days and times as needed.
Minimum qualifications: Excellent English communication skills required. Advanced swimming skills, Advanced Life Saving Certification, CPR certification and Advanced First Aid certification required. Proven customer service skills and ability to work well with children.
Substitute Yoga Flow Instructor
Part-time /non-exempt position. Reports to the Fitness Program Director.
Minimum qualifications: 3+ years experience teaching Astanga, Vinyasa and/or Anusara Yoga required. CYT credentials and provide references. Excellent English communication skills required. Ability to work with a variety of age groups. CPR, AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certified.
Substitute Pilates Instructor
Part-time /non-exempt position. Reports to the Fitness Program Director.
Minimum qualifications: 3+ years experience teaching Pilates required. Available to substitute for classes occurring on Monday 2:15 PM- 3:15 PM, Tuesday 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and Tuesday & Thursday 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Excellent English communication skills required. Ability to work with a variety of age groups. CPR, AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certified.
