Kiva - Kiva Video Curator Intern

Job Description

The Video Curator is responsible for collaborating with Kiva's Marketing and Communications to create and manage engaging multimedia content. This is an unpaid internship.

Kiva's YouTube channel: Curate, organize, and manage content presentable for both public and private viewing Kiva's Wiki video page: Record Kiva internal events e.g. Brown Bags, All Hands Meetings, etc. and make available on Kiva's Wiki page Video: Plan, manage, and execute Kiva video content on demand. Organize Kiva videos for Kiva's Multimedia Archive Photography: Produce, manage, and prepare images in-house for use in print and web applications. Photograph local Kiva-related events to provide high-res images in Kiva's Multimedia Archive Graphic Design: Collaborate with in-house designers in file conception, preparation, and execution for print and web applications

BA or equivalent degree required Knowledge of photography, videography, and graphic design basics with an emphasis on clear and creative direction Able to archive content in organized manner for fast and easy retrieval Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro; Adobe Illustrator a plus Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media and internet communities Demonstrated ability to map out a marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics Skilled at working collaboratively with multiple teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills Strategic thinker with the ability to balance competing needs, generate creative approaches, and manage uncertainty Ability to think about long-term content strategy and operations, as well as juggle multiple short-term deadlines Is self directed, eager to meet and exceed objectives, and excited to take on more responsibility Ability to communicate results to Director and in a fast paced environment Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate tasks at hand as well as foresee upcoming creative opportunities Someone with a "ready to help" attitude Strong commitment to ethics, honesty, and integrity in conducting business
