Treehouse - Social Media Marketing Intern

Company Information:

1) Build Treehouse's online presence by contributing content to social networking sites, mobile apps and related blogs
2) Identify and engage top influencers online
3) Create buzz, lead discussions and respond to followers
4) Develop a media database of influential reporter/blogger files for top-tier publications (print and online)
5) Spread the word about Treehouse on your campus
6) Contribute ideas for our Facebook, Twitter and Treehouse accounts, as well as other marketing collateral
7) Run occasional errands
Treehouse is an awesome iPhone application that enables you to share photos and videos with friends and family. We're currently looking for awesome marketing interns to work with our Community Manager to bring Treehouse to a million users. As you will be one of our early employees, everything you do will have a major impact on the outcome of Treehouse.
This is a part-time (7-20 hours), unpaid position. We will pay for your lunch and transportation to our office in SOMA. Plus, you will receive lots of guidance and we're more than happy to help with paperwork if you are seeking school credit or letters of reference.
You will also have a lot of fun while gaining experience in online social networking, community building and management, and social media marketing, promotion and public relations.

You have an iPhone and your own laptop
You like social media Web sites and iPhone apps
You like networking and maintaining relationships both online and in-person
You are socially active in various groups on campus
You are comfortable with cold-calling for information
You are organized and able to manage multiple projects
You write and speak well
You are a junior or senior in college, majoring in PR, Marketing, Journalism or Communications
You are flexible, positive, patient and willing to learn
